Last Revenue Run in SMVRR's Miller Street YardJanuary 2, 2007  |
Today was the last revenue run in the Miller Street yard, ending a 95-year history on that part of the SMVRR. The Miller Street yard was not part of the recent purchase of the SMVRR. This was once a bustling yard with packing sheds, warehouses and the La Brea Ice Company. The SMVRR is reconfiguring the McClelland Street yard so there will not be a need to cross Miller Street.
